This handsome and striking necklace features two exceptionally crafted Czech glass buttons, a modern jet flower burst, and a vintage Celtic knot.
The knot resembles a Triskele, an ancient Celtic symbol thought to have been around since 3,200 years BC.
This name is apt because Celtic artisans were the first to start manufacturing glass beads in what is now known as the Czech Republic in the 3rd century BC.
Czech glass artisans honed their skills for centuries, and in the early 18th century, they were the first to start pressing hot glass in molds to create exquisitely detailed buttons now coveted worldwide.
In this necklace, both Czech glass buttons were hand-pressed in antique molds and manufactured using centuries-old processes. And both testify to the enduring talents of Czech glass artisans, including the few that are still working today.
