We discovered the spectacular vintage glass cabochon centering this bracelet in a dusty warehouse in the New York garment district over fifteen years ago.
The sturdy concentric lines in the glass remind us of ripples emanating from a stone thrown into an aquamarine pool, perhaps to make a wish. So, we named this piece after the world’s most famous wishing well, the Trevi Fountain.
We adore how the circles in the glass contrast with the airy Art Deco filigree stampings.
In this piece:
- Glass cabochon, made in Czechoslovakia, circa 1930
- Brass filigree stampings made today in the USA in vintage dies
- Antiqued brass chain
- Tiny hand-carved Lady Washington mother-of-pearl button, made from Mississippi River mussel shells on the chain end, circa 1950-1960
- Length is 7” to 8 1/2”
