The pretty givré glass doublets showcased in these earrings were hand-pressed in midcentury West Germany.
Givré glassmakers use a lampworking torch to heat glass and then a swirling technique to create distinctive opaque color ribbons.
In this piece:
- Givré brown & white glass doublets, made in West Germany, circa 1950-1960
- Brass-plated pewter settings made today in Louisiana
- Nickel-free & lead-free brass kidney wire closures
