These dainty earrings featured two kinds of rare vintage glass.
Two delicate givré glass baguettes anchor this design. Givré glassmakers use a lampworking torch to heat glass and then a swirling technique to create distinctive opaque color ribbons.
Suspended from the givré glass are two midcentury faceted Czech glass cabochons in sky blue.
In this piece:
- Two Givré glass baguettes, made in West Germany, circa 1950 -1960
- Two vintage midcentury glass cabochons, made in Czechoslovakia
- Two styles of stamped brass settings, made today in the USA in vintage dies
- Nickel-free & lead-free brass euro wire closures
- Hangs 2”
