We were delighted to discover the gorgeous lampworked West German givré glass doublets we chose for these earrings in the dusty basement of an east coast warehouse.
Givré glassmakers use a lampworking torch to heat glass and then a swirling technique to create distinctive opaque color ribbons.
In this piece:
- Givré glass doublets, made in West Germany, circa 1950-1960
- Brass-plated pewter settings cast today in the USA
- Antiqued brass chain
- Nickel-free & lead-free brass euro wire closures
- Hangs 2 1/4”
